Multispecies adulteration of raw and processed meats has been increasing lately. Authenticating the meat species plays a massive role in assuring the quality and safety of processed meat. Additionally, cross-contamination and species substitution have some religious concerns and allergic issues. Hence, identifying species substitution through molecular testing is one of the crucial aspects of the meat industry.
